How To Write A Research Paper Using The APA Format

  4. If you include an abstract, it will go on the second page all by itself. The word abstract will be centered.
  5. When siting sources in this style, there are many different types of sources so it is best to utilize an actual guide to get information on how to cite your source. You will include a separate references page for your piece.
  6. The in-text citations will usually go with the last name of the author and the date of publication in parenthesis after the sentence or direct quote.
